The Spirit of Truth
Finding the Root Cause of Hair Issues
"When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come." — John 16:13
The Spirit of Truth is essential in uncovering the hidden reasons behind our hair and scalp issues. As Black women, we have walked in error—believing lies, misinformation, and misconceptions about our hair. From generational curses and poor nutrition to stress, confusion, and neglect, the root causes run deep. But the Spirit of Truth brings clarity, revealing these roots so we can heal and transform.
Reading the Word of God allows us to quickly communicate with Christ and hear from the Holy Spirit. In this Holy Ghost-filled community, we will find truth and comfort concerning our hair, our lives, and everything connected to us.
"Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you." — John 14:17
Allowing the Holy Spirit to Reveal the Truth
The Holy Spirit is:
Your Comforter
Your Helper
Your Advocate
Your Intercessor
Your Counselor
Always on standby, ready to guide you
Because He dwells within you, you can trust that He will reveal the root causes of your hair and scalp issues. These roots could be spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, or generational. Most people struggle because they view their hair journey through physical senses, ignoring spiritual guidance. But Jesus left us His Spirit—the Holy Spirit—to lead us into all truth.
Root means: Source, Origin, Ancestry, and Cause.
When you understand this, you recognize that hair issues are more than skin-deep—they involve every aspect of your being. Transformation begins when we allow the Holy Spirit to address these areas.
Understanding the Battle: Truth vs. Deception
"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it" — John 8:44
The Holy Spirit reveals truth, but the enemy—Satan—thrives on lies and deception. The unbelieving world remains trapped in falsehoods because they walk by sight, seeking material signs. This confusion has kept many Black women from truly understanding their hair, leading to frustration and neglect.
There are two kinds of spiritual wisdom:
The Spiritual Wisdom of Christ (Light)
The Spiritual Wisdom of Darkness (Deception)
False wisdom may seem right but leads to more confusion and frustration. The Spirit of Truth, however, brings understanding and strategy. He will lead you to the truth concerning your hair and scalp health.
The Spiritual Significance of Hair Health
Hair health is a physical condition that must first be addressed spiritually.
Your hair is a physical representation of what’s happening inside your body—mentally and physically.
Your hair growth system is a divine warning system. God uses it to send messages about your overall well-being.
"Our hair is always talking. Our body is always talking. Our Father is always talking. The Spirit of Truth is always talking. The question is—are we listening?"
Through Jesus Christ, you have the authority to transform your hair conditions. But this transformation starts inside out. When I began seeking Christ concerning my clients’ hair issues, I discovered divine and scientific truths that completely changed my perspective.

Study John 14 and reflect on this: What are the most damaging lies the Black community believes about Black women’s hair? Lies like “natural hair is unprofessional,” “Black hair doesn’t grow,”
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth—revealing the root causes of your hair and scalp concerns, from breakage, thinning, stagnation, generational cycles of hair dieases and disorders.
Final Thought
As we conclude Day 5, remember that the Spirit of Truth is your ultimate guide, not just in life but also in your hair journey. The answers you seek about your hair—whether tied to generational patterns, emotional struggles, or physical health—are revealed when you invite the Holy Spirit into the process.

You no longer have to walk in confusion or frustration. The Holy Ghost is your comforter, counselor, and advocate—ready to reveal mysteries that lead to wholeness. Every strand of your hair tells a story, and the Spirit of Truth holds the key to understanding it.
